Here are seven things about me:

1. When DH and I first became friends, he wanted to start dating right away. I wasn't interested and kept pushing him away...I eventually came around and gave him a chance after about nine months.
2. I used to never watch reality shows, but now they are my guilty pleasures. I love to watch The Batchelor, Kendra, Kardashians, and America's Next Top Model.
3. Despite living in Utah and growing up minutes from "the greatest snow on earth", I absolutely hate the cold and winter sports. If I had it my way, I would live somewhere green, humid, and near the ocean.
4. I love to watch classic Disney movies. Some of my favorites are "Alice in Wonderland", "Snow White", and "Sleeping Beauty".
5. I love to decorate my house for the holidays throughout the year...in fact, I think I will get my Valentine decorations out today!
6. I have a huge fear or snakes, and will not even walk by them when they are in their cages.
7. I have been playing the piano since I was five years old, and one day I would like to compose music.

If You're Happy and You Know It...

A BIG THANK YOU to Type A for giving me the Happy 101 Blog Award. That was so sweet, and it made my day!!!

So, here are ten things that make my day:

1. Realizing that it's Saturday and I get to sleep in.
2. Getting home from work in time to go for an afternoon jog with my furkid. I LOVE to do this in the summer, so it is making me excited that I am able to start doing it again.
3. Seeing a "peak" on my fertility monitor.
4. Three day weekends...DH and I love to stay up late playing Xbox or watching movies when we know we get to sleep in on Monday.
5. Getting a surprise e-mail/treat/flowers from DH.
6. Being able to spend the day at the beach. Utah is just too far away from the ocean!
7. Having time to catch up on all the TV shows I have saved on the DVR.
8. Making a homemade batch of cookies/brownies/etc.
9. Having a craft night with the girls
10. Getting a BFP...it has been WAY too long since I've seen one!!!

On to Happier Things...

I am 99% sure that I am not KU this cycle. I am not surprised and really not that dissapointed. Ever since CD1, I have had a feeling that it wasn't going to happen this time. I am okay with it, although I would have obviously still like to be proven wrong. I had a little bit of spotting this morning, so we'll see if AF shows up in the next day or so.

Anyway, on to happier things:

***Here are seven interesting things about me***

1. My very favorite book of all time is Gone with the Wind. I have read it several times and know I will read it several more.
2. I started playing the piano when I was in kindergarten, but am sadly out of practice.
3. I have a HUGE phobia of snakes and spiders. It is so bad that I can't even walk by them in the pet store and watching them on TV gives me the creeps.
4. When I go grocery shopping, I try to keep my cart organized with like items together (i.e. refrigerated foods in one part, produce in another, cans separate). I do this so that they will hopefully be bagged that way and it will be easier to put them away when I get home.
5. I grew up with the "greatest snow on earth" and just a few minutes away from great ski resorts, but I don't ski or snowboard. I tried boarding 4 years ago and do not like it.
6. I enjoy cooking and wish I had more time to try out new recipes.
7. I cannot stand milk. I won't even put it on my cereal.

As a side note: I am trying to plan a delicious Valentine's dinner for DH and me. I know that V-day is still a few weeks off, but I am really trying to plan ahead. I figure that we will go out for Valentine's on Saturday night, so I want to make a fancier dinner and dessert on Sunday. I know I want to make a chocolate cheesecake, but besides that I am still pretty clueless. Please let me know if you have any ideas!
